Plans, Pricing & Daily Messages
What changes as you move up a plan — in plain language.
This page explains the differences between plans in plain terms. For the current prices, always check the live pricing page:
What actually changes between plans
There are really three things that scale as you move up:
- Daily messages to Leo — how many times per day you can ask Leo to build or change something. Higher plans give you more.
- Always-on apps — paid plans give you a permanent workspace that never sleeps (see Sleeping & Waking). The free plan's apps go to sleep when idle.
- Source code access & extras — higher tiers add things like direct source-code access and a separate development + live setup.
The tiers at a glance
Free
A set number of messages per day. Apps go to sleep when idle (your work is saved). Great for trying things out.
Starter
More daily messages, plus one always-on workspace that never sleeps (and a couple of additional workspaces that can sleep).
Pro
A larger daily message allowance, several always-on workspaces, and direct source-code access for your app.
Business
The highest message allowance, the most always-on workspaces, plus a development site and a live site — build and test safely in one, then push changes to the one your users are on. See Dev → Live.
Exact message counts and prices are on the pricing page and may change — this page describes the shape of the plans, not the specific numbers. You can always start on one plan and change later.
Good to know
- Messages are counted per app, per day. If your plan includes three workspaces, each one gets its own daily allowance. See Use Your Messages Efficiently for how to make them go further — including running Leo on your own ChatGPT plan.
- Unlimited users on every plan. The plan governs your building (messages and workspaces), not how many people can use the app you build. Add as many end-users to your app as you like.
- Your subscription is tied to your account, not to one app. You don't need to "move" a subscription between apps — you're covered across your account.
"It says 2/3 Leos remaining" — what's that?
That counter is about how many workspaces (apps) you can have on your plan, not your daily messages. "2/3 Leos remaining" means you've used 1 of 3 available workspaces. Daily message limits are a separate thing — they reset each day.
